The big picture
The objective was to publish a feel-good magazine that would share news, and strengthen ties within the community. My first step into journalism and publishing, at the age of 15.
The small steps
- Content planning: Neighbourhood-related news-in-brief, news features, and profiles were given prominence.
- Production and distribution: Initially hand-written, later type-written. Photo-copies were made for each row of houses. A family, after reading, would pass its copy next door.
