Designing Loyola Old Boys' Association website.

Objective

Redesign the site to make it aesthetically pleasing, yet functionally simple.

The big picture

The website could be a key tool for the Association to not only evoke nostalgia, but also to reach out to alumni and refurbish its image. The design had to accommodate a wide range of content-types - articles, e-newsletters, multimedia - while retaining consistency.

The small steps

  • Colour: Along with the school's official maroon colour, we went for a simple white-background design to convey purity.
  • Homepage design: Since the homepage was most likely to figure in any publicity effort, a big 'lobaglobal' text graphic on the homepage would enhance recall.
